Should I mention that I have a vacation planned during a min. wage job interview?
I'm in college and have an interview for a minimum wage job next week. I would start almost immediately if all goes well. One thing I'm afraid would keep me from getting the job is that I need 10 days off in August for vacation with my family, and it is right before our fall semester of college starts. Should I be upfront and tell the interviewing manager this or should I keep hush until I get the job. When I worked previously in this area, managers were very understanding and worked well with schedules since it was a college town, but I don't know about this company. I really do want this job though, and will have great availability for the rest of summer and also the fall semester. Would you mention the 10 day vacation or no?
