How much do i feed my flemish giant rabbit?
At 9 weeks, he can have unlimited rabbit pellets and unlimited hay. He can also have alfalfa cubes in any amount, since all they are is hay. As an adult, alfalfa can only be offered in very small amounts every once in a while, as the calcium levels are too high for an adult and can cause sludgy urine, bladder and kidney stones, and urinary tract infections since rabbits excrete excess calcium in their urine. As he gets older, all hay offered should be changed to a grass hay, and pellets should be timothy-based and limited in amount.
