Is it normal for your vagina to smell like onions or perspiration sometimes?

ok so lately i've been having odor down there and i know its not an STD considering i've never had any Type of sexual contact with anyone, but lately it's been smelling like onions or like a musty perspiration smell. i do wear thong underwear a lot and i've noticed when i wear lacey underwear the smell is stronger. what can i do to help this? no rude people please
