How does unemployment work?

I am a part time worker and have been working at the store for about a year and a half now. i recently asked to change my availability with my hours to accomodate my new schedule.. i submitted the form to change my availibility several times and was blown off. finally one manager told me i cant change my availibilty and i made an issue out of it. Long story short my job is trying to play scandolous tricks to fire me now that i cant work my original hours. if they fire me will i qualify for unemployment
